Data & privacy (short version)

Short version

Valutra stores only the data required to operate the app.

  • You control your content: bank accounts, balances, plan items and payments are created by you.
  • Not accounting: Valutra is a planning and forecasting app.

What data is stored?

Typically (depending on features you use):

  • Account data (e.g. email address, name)
  • Bank accounts (labels, types/assignment)
  • Balances (starting balances and possibly additional balance entries)
  • Plan items (amount, recurrence, category, dates)
  • Payments (date, amount, reference/purpose, links to instances)
  • Settings (e.g. feature toggles, VAT configuration)

Why is it stored?

  • to calculate your forecast
  • to display lists/reports (e.g. payments, category totals)
  • to apply your settings consistently

How long is data stored?

In general, until you delete it or delete your account.

  • When you delete your account, your content is removed.
  • For legal/authoritative details, refer to the privacy policy.

Account deletion

You can delete your account in User settings.

Important:

  • Deletion is irreversible.
  • Recovery is not possible.

Logs & error reporting

Operational logs may exist for reliability and debugging. They should not contain sensitive content, but they are technically necessary to detect and resolve issues.
